It was excellent, I could not enjoy the other facility of the Hotel.

It was great, but I was expecting English written food tag so that an ex pat can understand the food.

Fantastic

The crews were warm and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The viewing from our room was nice as well. All was nice!

The locker can’t be used so we had to put our values into the luggage and locked it.

generally, it is worthy, I am glad to stay in Novotel Makassar, location is convenient

the breakfast food are plenty, and foods are changed daily, especially coffee is terrific

the bath towels smell is not fresh.

What was the highlight of Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla

Very Good

First of all, my overall impression is pretty good and I will probably come back. The location is very central, the staff was really nice and polite, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there was a lot of choice (Indonesian, continental, etc.). Anecdotally, there were four different jamus (a traditional Indonesian drink that you should try). There was no plastic bottle in the bedroom but a refillable glass bottle and a water dispenser at every floor. Much better for the thirsty ones and greener.

Check-in took a very long time because there was only one employee when I arrived around 7pm and a queue of customers. At the reception, the employee also told me that there were only smoking rooms left and when I refused categorically, he/she immediately gave me a non-smoking room... There were a few issues in the room which were fixed later by the staff: the safe was not reset so couldn't be used, the bed lights were not working, and my food order never reached my room (I had it at the restaurant eventually). Eventually, these little things do not change my good overall impression but they could be easily improved.

Real good value for money

Location of hotel was very close to all the good eateries we wish to visit. Room rates not so expensive. Beds are comfortable and rooms clean.

We had requested 2 rooms with a connecting door but there was none. So we settled for 2 twin bedrooms next to each other.

Awesome

Friendly and awesome staff, great hospitality, comfortable room, great location. The executive reservation staff, Mr. Dandy, did an excellent job. Fast response and very helpful when I had reservation problem.

The spa need more improvement. Its below standard for 4 stars hotel. The spa room has weird smell and dirty . The internet is so slow and keep disconnect but other than that it's great hotel to stay.

It was an enjoyable stay.

The breakfast was good! And I especially found the staff were really friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

I ordered a room service for dinner. I was fully aware that it took approximately thirty minutes for the food to arrive, but I expected the food to be still warm. Once the food arrive, the pasta had turned cold and stiff. The burger itself was okay. I wish in the future the management could improve to be better.

Great room, great price, superb staff!

I requested for the iron but none could find not get back to me except Mr Yusran who went above and beyond to take my clothes to personally press them and return to me all in a short period of time. He was excellent and I’m so thankful. I’ll definitely use Novotel again main because they have excellent staff like him.
